This guide describes how to work with Job profiles in the job architecture.

Job Profiles

In this step, your job profiles are visible. You can also:

  • Create new job profiles

  • Link job profiles to job families

  • Change the job family of a job profile

  • Rename job profiles

  • Link career paths

  • Delete job profiles

Create job profile

Click the Create job profile button in the top right corner to add a new job profile.

1. Click Create job profile.

2. Enter the name of the job profile.

3. Link the job profile to a job family by selecting an option from the list.

4. Click Continue in the bottom right corner.

5. Select a career track for the job profile: Individual Contributor, Management or Executive.

6. Select one of the job evaluation options:

  • Check the boxes for each evaluation to evaluate the job profile directly in this step

  • Select Create without evaluation (in the bottom right corner) to evaluate the job profile at a later stage

💡 Tip: You can always go back and evaluate the job profile later via the overview.

Link job profile to job family

1. Check the job profile you want to link to a job family.

2. A black action bar appears at the bottom of the view. Click Edit job family.

3. Select the job family you want to link to from the list, or search for a job family in the search field.

💡 Tip: You can link a job family to multiple job profiles at once by checking several job profiles before clicking Edit job family.

Change the job family of a job profile

1. Check the job profile you want to change the job family for.

2. A black action bar appears at the bottom of the view. Click Edit job family.

3. Select the job family you want to link to from the list, or search for a job family in the search field.

💡 Tip: You can also change the job family directly from the row by clicking the row or the edit icon under the Job family column.

Rename a job profile

1. Click the row of the job profile you want to rename, or click the edit icon on the row.

2. Change the name of the job profile.

3. The change saves automatically.

Link Career

1. Check the job profile you want to link a career to.

2. A black action bar appears at the bottom of the view. Click Edit career.

3. Select a career: Individual Contributor, Management or Executive.

💡 Tip: You can also link a career directly from the row by clicking the row under the Career column.

Create job clusters

Job clusters are used if you want to merge job profiles into a shared equal work group in the Pay equity analysis. For example, if you consider that CFO and HR Manager perform the same work tasks with the same weight and complexity, you can cluster them together so that they form an Equal work group in the Pay equity analysis.

1. Check the job profiles you want to cluster together.

2. Click Edit job cluster in the action bar.

3. Select an option:

  • If you have an existing cluster, select it from the list

  • If you don't have an existing cluster, enter a new name and click Add "[cluster name]"

⚠️ Important: To cluster job profiles into an equal work group, the job profiles must have the same complexity after job evaluation — meaning they must have been assigned the same level in the job architecture.

Filter and search function

In the top left of the view there is a Search bar and a Filters function. You can combine multiple filters at the same time to quickly find the right job profiles.

Filter Job profiles

1. Click Filters.

2. Select which filter you want to use:

  • Job family – show all job profiles within a specific job family

  • Job profile – show a specific job profile

  • Job cluster – show all job profiles within a specific job cluster

  • Career – show all job profiles linked to a specific career track

  • Grade – show job profiles at a specific level

  • Position title – show all job profiles linked to a specific job title

  • Statistical code – show all job profiles with a specific statistics code, for example AID code, SSYK code or BESTA code

  • Organisation – show all job profiles within a specific department or unit, depending on how the organisational tree is structured

Quick filters

With quick filters you can quickly show only the job profiles that have employees linked.

⚠️ Important: If you cannot see all job profiles, it may be because a filter is active. Reset the filters to show the full list.

Search function

Use the search field in the top left to quickly find a specific job profile or job family.
