Assessment - Manager view (PM) [New view]

Assessment, manager, PM, merit

Written by Miranda Skogsberg

The purpose of this guide is to help you as a manager assess your employees in a single, consolidated view. You'll easily get an overview of your group's performance and at the same time prepare for the individual salary discussions.

Navigation to the Assessment tab

To get to the Assessment tab, click the Assessment icon in the menu on the left. You'll then see an overview of the active assessment rounds you have access to. Click on the relevant round to open it.

Sort and customize the employee list

Filtering

Customize the employee list to match the way you work by filtering on what's relevant to your specific assessment.

Click a filter heading, such as Performance, Position, or Status, to open the filter and select one or more options. Use the search field within the filter if the list is long.

To remove an active filter, click Reset filter at the bottom of the filter view.

Grouping

Grouping controls how employees and criteria are displayed in the list - you can choose between Person and Salary criteria.

  • Group by Person to see each employee with all their assessment criteria gathered in one place, or

  • Salary criteria to instead see all employees side by side under each criteria.

Assessing performance

In the list, you set your assessment under the Assessment column. For each employee, you'll see the salary criteria your organization uses, together with the rating levels available to choose from.

Assess performance: Click the desired level for each criteria - your selection is saved automatically.

Undo assessment: Click the selected level again to remove it.

Assessment help

At the top right of the view, you'll find the Assessment help button. When you click the button, a side panel opens at the right where you can expand each salary criteria to see the Description of the criteria and the Rating levels.

The assessment help stays open in the side panel while you work, so you have the guidance easily available without having to leave the view.

โš ๏ธOBS: The content is guidance your administrator has provided. If a criteria or a level is missing text, it means the administrator hasn't entered a description for it.

Mark as done

When you're done with an assessment, check the Done box on the far right of the row. The row is then locked for editing and your assessment is finalized.

  • If you want to mark an entire employee as done at once, use the Done box next to the employee's name.

  • You can also mark all employees as done at the same time by using the Done box at the top of the list.

Need to make a change? Simply uncheck the box and the row becomes editable again.

Visibility for your employee

Once you've marked your assessment as done, your part of the assessment is complete. When your employee has finished their self-assessment, you will both be able to see each other's ratings.

You can also view the assessment directly via an individual employee's profile in your Start page.
