Salary review - Manager view - PM [New view]

Salary review, salary setting, PM

Written by Miranda Skogsberg

The purpose of this guide is to help you as a manager get started with the salary review in Sysarb. Here you'll find step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the salary review view, customize the list to suit your needs, allocate salary increases, and finalize your salary review.

Navigate to Salary review

To get to the Salary review tab, click the Salary review icon in the menu on the left. You'll then see an overview of the active salary reviews you have access to. Click on the relevant salary review to open it.

Overview

At the top of the view, you'll see the name of the salary review you're working in.

Directly below the title, three overview metrics are displayed to help you track your work: Left to allocate, Equality clock, and Salary increase.

Left to allocate

This shows the amount you have left to allocate. It decreases automatically as you set salaries for your employees.

By hovering over the amount, you'll see Total budget, Allocated, Left to allocate, and the Budgets you have access to.

Equality timer

The time on the equality timer shows how much longer the average woman needs to work compared to the average man to reach the same average salary in the group.

When the time is negative, it means the pay gap is in women's favor - the women in the group have, on average, a higher salary than the men.

(Employees with undefined gender are excluded from this calculation)

By hovering over the information icon, you'll see an explanatory text.

Salary increase

Shows the salary increase in the salary review as a percentage, broken down by men, women, and total. Use the metric to track how the allocation is distributed between genders during the review work.

Toggle between Salary increase and Average salary increase to see the total salary increase in relation to the total salary sum in the group, or the average percentage increase per employee.

Sort and customize the employee list

Filtering

Customize the employee list to match the way you work by filtering on what's relevant to your specific salary review.

Click a filter heading, such as Budget, Performance, Union, or Position, to open the filter and select one or more options. Use the search field within the filter if the list is long.

To remove an active filter, click Reset filter at the bottom of the filter view.

Grouping

Grouping controls how employees are displayed in the list below - for example, you can group them by position, organization, or performance to more easily get an overview and compare within each group.

By default, the list is shown without grouping (No grouping).

Click the grouping box above the list and select the option that best fits the way you work. To remove the grouping again, select No grouping.

Modify columns

Next to the grouping box, you'll find the Modify columns icon. There you can check and uncheck the columns you want to see in the list to customize the view to show what you need.

Click Reset columns to return to the default view.

Search

On the far right, there's a search field where you can quickly find a specific employee in the list.

Setting salaries

In the list, you allocate salary increases under the Salary increase column. Enter the amount in the box and confirm with Enter or by clicking in another box - New total salary is updated immediately.

Toggle between Your currency and % in the column header to register the increase as an amount or as a percentage.

Click on an employee's name to open the side panel. Here you can register new salary increments, salary exchange, and comments for the employee.

These are fields that can only be filled in via the panel, but they appear in the list if you've added the corresponding columns via Modify columns.

Mark as complete

When you're done with an employee, check the Done box on the far right of the row. The row is then locked for editing and turns gray, and your local administrators can see that the salary review is complete.

If you want to mark all employees as complete at the same time, click Mark all salaries as finished in the upper right. If you need to make a change, simply uncheck the box and the row becomes editable again.

⚠️ OBS: If your organization has attestation activated, you cannot unlock a completed row yourself - you'll need to contact your local administrator.

Once the row is marked as complete, the new salaries need to be actively sent out to become visible to the employee.

⚠️ OBS: This function is only displayed if your local administrator has activated Send out new salaries.

Export summary report

In the upper right of the view, you'll find the Export summary report button. By clicking it, you download a report of your salary review in Excel format.

The report contains the same columns you can display in the list view, for example name, position and salary increase

You can use the export as a basis for follow-up, documentation, or dialogue with your local administrator.
