Job valuation is a tool used to assess different groups of EQUAL jobs developed in connection with the pay equity audit, thus determining which jobs can be considered comparative.
To support you in conducting a job evaluation in Sysarb, you have the option of using our factor plan or your own. Sysarb’s factor plan breaks down the areas of knowledge and skills, responsibility, and effort into ten different factors.
This factor plan is often referred to as Sysarb’s standard factor plan. The areas that must be evaluated according to law are knowledge and skills, responsibility, and working conditions. In this factor plan, these areas have been divided into 10 factors, which facilitates a more nuanced job evaluation between different roles within the organization.
This factor plan can be used by all clients. One that works particularly well for organizations where some employees have third-party responsibility (referred to as responsibility for people).
However, we also have a version that excludes this factor if your organization does not have any third-party responsibility.
The clearest advantage of using Sysarb’s factor plan is that no area is “forgotten” in the evaluation process. It also prevents getting stuck in reasoning like:
“Well… we require this level of education for this role, but also very high experience requirements for that role. Can they be assigned the same level in this factor then?”
