Sysarb has developed a new framework for job architecture that allows our clients to create their own job architecture with transparent career paths that comply with the EU's directives on pay transparency, providing the foundation for more effectively managing their core HR processes.

A job architecture is a structured framework that describes how different roles, positions, and tasks within an organization are organized and related to each other. It serves as a map of the organization's job structure and helps define:

  • Job Families: Groups of similar job profiles or positions that share common functions or competencies. For example, all IT jobs might be grouped into an IT job family, while all marketing jobs could belong to a marketing family.

  • Job Profiles: Specific positions within the job families. For instance, the IT job family might include roles such as system administrator, software developer, and IT support.

  • Levels: Hierarchical levels within each job family, reflecting different degrees of responsibility, experience, or competence.

  • Career Paths: Potential development paths for employees within and between job families. This shows how an employee can advance from one role to another, for example, from a junior position to a leadership role.

  • Job Descriptions: Detailed descriptions of each role, including responsibilities, requirements, necessary skills, experience, and other expectations.

What is the Purpose of a Job Architecture?

  • Organization: Helps structure and organize the company's staff and roles in a logical and efficient way.

  • Pay Structure: Facilitates the development of a fair and consistent pay structure based on the role's level of responsibility and market value.

  • Recruitment and Development: Simplifies the process of recruiting new employees and developing existing staff by clearly defining the skills and experience required for different roles.

  • Career Development: Provides employees with a clear view of possible career paths and what is required to advance within the company.

In summary, job architecture is a central part of HR strategy and contributes to creating a well-functioning and transparent organization.
