You own your data in Sysarb – Important considerations
Sysarb is a SaaS service that provides access to your data. As a customer, you fully own your data and are responsible for maintaining, managing, and purging it according to your established routines.
How long can you retain your data?
We believe that you, as a customer, have the legal right to retain data as it forms an essential part of your pay equity audit. Maintaining historical data allows for continuous statistical comparisons over several years. Therefore, we recommend that you retain this information and incorporate it into your internal GDPR procedures regarding record-keeping.
Data is not automatically deleted
Employees who leave and are not included in the following year's salary file are deactivated in the system rather than deleted.
Data anonymization
It is possible to anonymize employees who request it or who have left the organization. This must be done manually for each affected employee. We also recommend incorporating this process into your GDPR routines.
To ensure compliance, certain key data points—such as date of birth, gender, and salary—should remain intact. However, names can be replaced with placeholder names. If you use personal identification numbers and wish to replace them with unique ID numbers, gender information must be manually re-entered.
Data importing
Since you own your data, we encourage you to manage its import independently. For this reason, we have introduced a new import function. Should you require our assistance with data import, a service fee will apply.
